Infant Program
On occasion our Daycare has provided a service for parents of Infants typically aged between 12 to 18 months old. Due to staffing availability and other factors, we have made the decision to not be receiving any new applications until around January of 2024. A program specifically geared for Infants can be challenging at times to offer for many different reasons.
The infant program will be for those under the age of 19 months (at 19 months, children can enter our Toddler program) in which we will have a dedicated space, as well as dedicated staff for the infant program.
We will endeavor to keep the cost as low as possible - as low as $970 per month full-time. What you need to know is that for a full time space, the Daycare will receive a payment for $700 from the Universal Child care federal government program which leaves a parent responsible for paying the difference of $270 per month. A parent may choose to apply to the Yukon government Subsidy Program for the difference (the Daycare should have all paperwork related to this program).
Because the margin of sustainability is very low, we will need to ensure our group is full. We have dedicated 4 of our 64 spaces accepting Infants into our Program. Needless to say, we believe that these spaces will fill up quickly.
